“Without these multidimensional renderings, there is no way I could have envisioned this project, let alone choose a path to go down that would have been right for us.”
These are the words of a client in Ohio who wanted an "adult" master bedroom now that their children are grown. She and her husband live in a small L-shaped ranch with a master and 2 small bedrooms. They don't want to expand the footprint of the house, they want to keep the other 2 bedrooms for when their children and grands visit and do it all within a certain budget.
So, she sent me this:
I created the original floor plan and we worked together from there:
We proposed a couple of options that didn't work for them personally or may have been too expensive. The client liked the space she gained with this next proposal, but didn't want to incur the expense and uncertainty associated with moving a support wall:
We had a breakthrough moment and considered moving the front entrance, which gives her even more space for an expanded closet and bathroom. She'll also gain a front porch that overlooks the farmland where she grew up and provides an updated look to the L-shaped ranch.
This next rendering shows the entrance moved, which is shown as a concept. Once she makes her decision, we'll make changes like painting the brick and improving the front gardens. Her back gardens are gorgeous! This process also helps them understand exactly what's involved in the renovation process.
Here's a picture of the gardens in back:
